We build trust
in the certification.

IARCOR INTERNATIONAL is implementing a people certification system based on ISO/IEC 17024.

Status: Implementation in progressLearn about our approach

01 / The frame of reference

Skills that
can be demonstrated.

ISO/IEC 17024 establishes requirements for bodies that certify individuals. Its focus is on the assessment of competencies within a defined framework and the consistency of the certification process.

At IARCOR, implementation seeks to strengthen the way we define requirements, evaluate evidence, and document decisions related to our programs.

Normative reference: ISO published the ISO/IEC 17024:2026 edition in March 2026. Reference to this edition does not constitute a declaration of conformity by IARCOR.

02 / Implementation Priorities

A system that supports every decision.

  • 01

    Impartiality

Work on identifying conflicts of interest and separating responsibilities that may influence a decision.

  • 02

    Clear criteria

Define entry requirements, skills, and evidence so that the candidate knows what they must demonstrate.

  • 03

    Consistent evaluation

Develop criteria and records that allow for supporting the results and reviewing their application.

  • 04

    Confidentiality

Strengthen the management of candidate information, assessment materials, and process documentation.

  • 05

    Traceability

Preserve evidence that allows tracking the process of each application, evaluation, and decision.

  • 06

    Review and improvement

Develop mechanisms to handle complaints and appeals and use the findings to improve the system.

03 / What it means to you

Training, participation and certification.

Training

It prepares you and develops your knowledge and skills. Registration, payment, or attendance do not, by themselves, guarantee certification of competence.

Certification of people

It requires complying with the applicable scheme, demonstrating the required skills, and obtaining the corresponding decision.

A certificate of participation in an event certifies participation under its conditions; it is not equivalent to a certification of competence under ISO/IEC 17024.
